About Bookworm

Hi, thanks for reading my blog, feel free to comment.
Just a bit about me, my name is Jen and I'm from Wales. You can find me on twitter: lahttps://twitter.com/Jen_wales?lang=en-gbng=en-gb

I love reading and started reviewing on my blog because I love to share the books I've enjoyed and showcase amazing writers. I review books I've bought or I am a member of Netgalley, a site which allows you to pick books to read for free in exchange for an honest review.
The problem is getting around to reading them all as I constantly keep finding new books to read despite a massive to be read pile.
If you want to know more about me do read on:

I've always been called a bookworm ever since I was a child. I used to read so many books, go to the library and come back with a stack and read them all. I often read more than one book at a time because I've had that habit since I was a child.

The first book I remembering reading and enjoying was 'The Owl who was afraid of the dark' and one called 'Septmouse Supermouse' when I was in yr 3. I grew up reading a mixture of girly books and supernatural. The next yr I was reading vampire books and I loved 'Point Horror', 'Goosebumps'. I read and reread 'The Vampire Dairies' books. I think the first vampire book I read was called 'The Silver Kiss' and because it was romantic too and dealt with a teen who was going through serious issues it struck an emotive chord and I continue to enjoy vampire books like this.
In my pre-teens I discovered Stephen King which led to me finding James Herbert who's pacing I prefer. I loved Anne Rice's vampire books and read and reread then, 'Lestat' will always be a favourite along with 'Damon' from 'The Vampire Dairies'.

I will read almost anything now, I love the classics, Jane Eyre is my favourite. I like dark, gothic books but also enjoy lighter reads. Favourite authors: Elizabeth Kostova (favourite book: The Historian) Carlos Ruiz Zafon, James Herbert. Deborah Harkness). I will always enjoy paranormal books despite the sudden popularity they have gained. Always looking for new authors to read so I can find more books. I've just started reading fantasy again thanks to enjoying a book by Robin Hobb.
I have so many books, books I reread: The Lord of the rings.... and books I have yet to read. There'll never be an end to that list. So I'd better go work on it. Such a chore. :)
